setting Messages Rules
There are few good reason why you should set rules for your Incoming
emails. One could be to keep your email well ordered and in the same time keep
the folders smallBut that is beyond the scope of this tip and here is what you
have to do to fix these rules:
Open Outlook Express
Click on Tools and select Messages Rules > Mail
On the next window in the first pane You have to choose how to make your
selection (in this case I selected Where the from line contains people)
.
In the second pane select the action you want by clicking on the square box next
to it
Click the underlined hyperlinks in the Rule Description section to
specify the conditions or actions for your rule.
First click on contains People and this window appear:
You can type an email Address in the first box and then click add but it's
better use the address book by clicking on the button, choose
all the contacts you want to add to this rule and press OK
You will be returned on the previous page, click on specified folder
this time
Select the folder that you want this group of senders be in,and press OK (you
can create a new folder if you need it)
You will be returned on the previous page>Press OK
On this window you can see the new rule, select it.
Click Apply Now and all the emails in the Inbox folder that match the from
address with the addresses you got in this rule, will be automatically moved to
the folder linked to the rule, and the same every time one of these people sends
you an email.
