How to Recover from Mail corruption
If you are prompted by Outlook Express that there is an error in directdb.dll
or msoe.dll,then one or more of your email folders are corrupted and with that
problem , Outlook Express won't start.
You can try to do these steps to recover the corrupted files:

Open Start / All programs / Accessories

Open Widows Explorer and navigate to C:/ Document and settings/(here
goes your account name) /Local Settings/Application Data/Identities/Here
goes the ID number like this{DF977043-EA42-4645-A3F7-57329F1C0866}/Microsoft/Outlook
Express

Click Edit > Select all > Cut
-
Open MyDocument right-click on it and select new > folder
and rename it
something like Outlook_Express_dbx_Files and open it.

Now try to open Outlook Express.If you are successful,Click
File > Import >
Messages

Outlook import messages window opens,click on Microsoft outlook Express 6 and
click Next
-
On the next window ,towards the bottom,tick Import Mail from an 0E6
store Directory option
Click OK

Click on the Browse button and select the folder with the email files,that you
saved on the computer erlier

Click OK
-
click Next
-
In the next window you can choose which emails folders you want to import or
else you can import all of them.Then click Next
-
All your messages are imported back into Outlook Express.Now you can click
Finish
-
If you have a recent back up this is the time to replace the corrupted files
.
