If you downloaded a video file from the Internet, now you'll need to convert it and burn it on a DVD media to be able to play it on your DVD player at home.Let us see how.Normally the movies you find on the internet ere in a compressed format such .avi because of obvious reasons of space.A DVD is big up to 7-8 GB while the same movie ripped to DviX is less then 800 MB ( 0.8 GB ).There are various programs to do all this,I personally recommend WinaAvi or VSO they do the complete job from converting to burning on your media.Sometimes the movie is in two separate files, then you need Virtualdub to make only one file before converting.Get Virtualdub free from here. and read Tutorial how to append video files with VirtualDub
I assume in this tutorial that you are using WinAvi because it's a very easy and fast way to make DVD.Download it and install it and open it::

click on DVD:

Browse to the folder where you save the videos from internet, select the file you want and click Open

Here you can choose where to save the DVD and then click Advanced and Ouput Tab:

Make sure that The Number of Disk is set to 1 and disk's Capacity to 4.7 GB and click OK and then OK. The process start:

As you can see it will take on;y 33 minutes to create a 2 hours DVD and depending on your hardware it can even perform better. You can check what is doing by opening the preview windows but is better keep it closed because it takes much longer to do all the process.
